This photo was taken in Denali National Park in Alaska. It appears only mildly interesting until you see the grizzly bear in the frame (below the stream slightly left and below of center). Male grizzly bears can be as large as 8ft tall and weigh close to 1000lbs. If one was standing in front of you, in the few seconds before you became his lunch, you would be amazed at how huge he appeared. Yet in this photo he is dwarfed by the grandeur of this one small part of the park. When I look at it, I am reminded of how our God created the world and all that is in it, but has a very intimate inexpressibly great love for each of His children. Here is one example of how God feels about each of us:
I led them with cords of human kindness,
with ties of love.
To them I was like one who lifts
a little child to the cheek,
and I bent down to feed them. Hosea 11:4
What an awesome Heavenly Father we have! He created the animals out of love (after creating Adam He created animals before He created Eve: Genesis 2:18-22), but His love for His children was so deep He gave His one and only son that whoever believed in Him would live forever with Him (John 3:16). Amazing Creator, amazing love, amazing grace.
