I live in a county whose western border is Lake Michigan. This county has perfect weather for growing many kinds of fruit. In addition to the strawberries, apples, grapes (many vineyards in the county), apricots, cherries, peaches, and blueberries shown here, there is an abundance of pears, plums, and nectarines. Many “You Pick” orchards are scattered throughout the county, and tourists go home with a bountiful harvest of delicious fruit. Summers here typically have highs in the 70’s, lows in the 50’s with cotton ball clouds floating in a beautiful cerulean sky (see blueberry photo above). There are cherry, blueberry and apple festivals in the Summer and Fall every year. Wonderful place to live and enjoy God’s beautiful handiwork.
