This is an example of what a typical Autumn scene looks like in New Hampshire. I tried several different cropping choices before settling on the square as the best presentation of this scene. This was taken with my FujiFilm X100s mirrorless camera. Notice the contrast of this photo to the Autumn photos below, taken at Lake Geneva in Wisconsin with a Canon 5D MkII:
