This is Polychrome Overlook at mile marker 46 in Denali National Park. It was taken using a 120degree panoramic scan, on my FujiFilm X100s camera. To get a better sense of the scope of the scale of this scene you would need to have an enlargement print of this photo 3ft high by 18ft long. Even then, you really would have to be there to fully appreciate the awesome majesty of this place. If you get a chance to go to Denali NP and want to go deep into the park you will need to make a reservation well in advance on the buses that take you 43 miles into the park (you can go only to mile post 15 in your own vehicle), which is limited to that point as of August 2024 because of a rock slide under repair. The narrated bus tour is 4.5hrs, and well worth the time and expense.
