This photo of the Houses of Parliament in the foreground and Westminster Cathedral in the background were taken with a point-and-shoot 3.1MP camera from our hotel room in London. I used Velcro to attach the camera to the window frame to keep it steady and shot with a 2 second delay to avoid any camera shake while pressing the shutter. The camera had no controls for setting shutter speed, aperture, exposure, etc. so I just had to hope a decent photo could be result. I was pleasantly surprised to get such a good image from this modest camera with really low megapixels. I guess the lesson of the story is don’t hesitate to take a photo of a scene you want to capture with whatever camera/phone you have with you, but use whatever you have available to stabilize the camera, such as holding the camera against a lamp post at night.
